Summer Peach Sangria

Oh Sangria! I’m not a huge alcohol lover to be completely honest. But sweet and chilled summer peach sangria falls into a different category for me. And this one is a good one. Start the night before you want to serve this. Let the cut up fruit and white wine linger together for awhile.

FRUIT SLICES

I love peach, apple and lemon slices in my sangria. I usually cut up two of each kind of fruit, thinly sliced and layered in my glass pitcher. I pour the white wine over the fruit and refrigerate overnight. I had a couple peaches that were bruised and just not “pretty” so I got my juicer out and squeezed the peach juice from those into the sangria. I love making it super fruity. I also tend to use a sweeter white wine and pick one up wherever I happen to be.

Right before you’re ready to serve, add your sparkling lemonade. Or let guests top off their glasses allowing them to decide how sweet they want it. I love this French Lemonade. I get mine at World Market. This is the sweet factor and really makes the sangria bubbly and delicious. Make sure to chill it so it doesn’t warm up your sangria.

I hope you have a chance to linger over a delicious glass of homemade summer peach sangria. These beautiful pictures were captured by Madison Rae Photography.
