A Lovely Spring Table

Before we blink friends, Easter will be upon us. Thankfully it’s not early this year as in years past but in preparation for this glorious spring holiday I’m joining some friends to highlight some ideas for spring tables whether you’re hosting Easter or not.

A SPRING TABLE

One of my favorite tables yet in our nook, it’s simple and lovely. Rather than starting with a big center arrangement, I used tiny glass jars on each setting to create individual arrangements. And those light blue plates are probably my favorite plate purchase to date. We’ve used them for so much already, not quite a bowl, not quite a plate, perfect for everything from pasta to salad. LOVE them and right now they are 20% off, scoop them up before they sell out.

These place setting arrangements lend a bit of color to the whole table and serve as a sweet favor to send home with your dear ones. Subsequently, it also gave me room to make speckled wooden eggs in a tray the centerpiece of the table which brings in a subtle nod to Easter and spring newness.

Oh the colors, these almost nude tones of blush are my favorite right now. From the cotton napkins which are beautiful (and a must-have in your entertaining arsenal) to the flowers. Their soft tones are almost shy, as if they wanting to be admired for their quiet beauty but hiding all their grandeur until you stop and really take a look. And this certainly resonates with my heart after a New England winter, mild though this one was.

The speckled eggs were easy to make and I’ll have a tutorial up in the coming days. I’m slightly in love with wood eggs lately. Last year I made an entire wreath out of them. They have so much character with the subtle wood grain and feel classier then plastic or paper mache.

I hope you’ve enjoyed this lovely spring table with pictures by Ruth Eileen Photography.
