The Colors of Fall in the Home

It’s finally September. On one hand it feels like it has been the longest summer on record and on the other, I’m wondering where time went. We are blessed to have our littles in a small, private school that is starting with precautions in place this coming Tuesday. The boys are so excited and Aubrey has no idea what is coming. She’s had her brothers home with her for the last six months and is going to miss them fiercely. It has me feeling the fall feels right now and embracing the cooler days ahead. And as usual, I’m taking my cues from nature when I think about changing up the decor and bringing in the colors of fall in the home.

Fall is a lovely, rich season of change and deepening hues. The transition of our environment here in New England still makes me catch my breath. It is nothing short of magical. From my front door wreath (this pampas grass one would make a lovely one or last year’s corn husk wreath) to the shelves in my kitchen, there are so many places you can tuck little bits of fall away. I’m loving this rattan pumpkin on my counter these days. It’s quite easy to bring the colors of fall in the home with a couple good finds.
