A Simple Spring Table

Since we were in Peru last week, we’re celebrating Easter together as a family this coming weekend and hopefully enjoying a meal together around a simple spring table. We’re all exhausted from our trip and I didn’t have the time or energy to create an elaborate table this go around. But a lovely grouping of fresh green leaves and some daffodils from our yard make for a lovely spring table.

Any excuse to pull out a pretty table cloth and some lovely plates I’m all for. This breakfast nook in our kitchen doubles as the kid’s craft zone. So they know they need to take their endeavors elsewhere when momma pulls out a tablecloth.

ALL THE DETAILS

Some new favorite entertaining pieces this spring include this lovely linen tablecloth in flax (I went back and forth between the blue color) and oval place mats from Serena & Lily, which are on sale. I used their woven cups as a vase for the greenery and stacked my favorite blue plates from Pottery barn. A new favorite is also the brass clover napkin rings. I got them on sale a few months back and they are so lovely.

A couple of new pillows are gracing our nook after a visit to the local Serena & Lily Design Shop. The Belize Pillow has an interesting jute pattern and the embroidery on the Morningside Pillow is stunning, my new favorite pillow.

A PRETTY PRINT OUT

I printed this sheet out and cut into strips the “Oh Spring.” A few snips on either side turns them into little banners that you can run through your fingers to give them movement on the edges. They look pretty tucked into the place setting.

I hope you’re inspired to create a simple spring table to elevate a special meal with your loved ones. Join my friends below as they celebrate spring with their tablescapes.
