A Delicate Winter Wreath

Winter firmly has its hold on New England and I found myself, especially after the holidays, wanting a delicate winter wreath on our front door. Now it has certainly made the location rounds because it is so pretty. Initially inside layered against a cutting board in the kitchen. It is finally on the front door, at least for the time being. It’s simple in its construction yet elegant for layering on shelves or inside doors, the perfect multi-purpose winter wreath.

I reused a handmade wreath form I had from Aubrey’s First Birthday, made with love by Fiori Florals in Franklin, Ma. You can recreate this by finding some vines or branches in your yard and wiring them into a circle. It only takes a few to get a lovely, natural look that isn’t as big and bulky as the store-bought grapevine wreaths. I also found this one online for a similar, more slender feel.

I wasn’t feeling faux flowers this time around and loved the dried flowers I was seeing online. This one was my preferred flower choice because of its creamy, delicate nature. It’s an easy wreath to make as you just snip off the flower heads and hot glue them on your wreath. I clustered them in bigger groups towards the side and up, like a crescent moon.

This delicate winter wreath is easy to make and looks lovely just about everywhere. It looks like a dusting of freshly fallen snow. Ruth Eileen Photography did a wonderful job capturing this wreath. And you can join me on this fun winter wreath blog hop by visiting my friends below.
