Custom framing job by yours truly and the helper hubs. Because it turns out these were trickier frames to work with than I bargained for. Clearly meant for a table, Matt had to drill holes through the back and string wire through. Two identical frames but one hung upside to create an interesting pattern on the wall with that semi circle design. These @laureldawn.cornerstudio pieces look beautiful on the fabric backing. And I’m loving the way they look in the bathroom. T minus a few days until new tile goes in from that mood board I showed you all a while ago.

Here we go! “Mommy camp”, aka summer break, starts now. An unbridled, leisurely, “go outside and be bored” summer! Save the money on the camps and go travel someplace interesting. Let them sleep in, build forts, climb trees and roll down the driveway in a rainstorm. Yes they will be bored and yes they will drive you crazy. For 3 months. We usually start June with all kinds of interesting craft ideas and end with mommy drinking tea in the mudroom closet. Ahhhh, the joys of summer.

A DIY Copper trellis for the cottage garden made out of (bum bum bum)…copper plumbing pipes! I wanted something specific and couldn’t find anything online. Matt bought a pipe bender and a cutter in addition to the plumbing pieces. And it took several months between working full time, a trip to Spain and well, life. This year we’re growing baby pumpkins up it. It’s aging beautifully and a wonderful addition to the cottage garden!

Reminiscing on Nantucket spring days from our @tas

Reminiscing on Nantucket spring days from our @tastemaker_travels event a few weeks back. And with all this rain, reminiscing is a preferable thing to do! I almost said no when @ashleymscribi texted. I’m an introvert and was a bit intimidated. But from getting to know amazing brands better, making sweet new friends and spending mornings by the sea, it was a very needed trip. So here’s your reminder to push yourself sometimes.
We celebrated @sailtosable x @palmbeachlately latest launch with lunch and peonies. Enjoyed @crunantucket with @therealreal (my new favorite shopping site!), a relaxing stay @thenantucket, a morning lighthouse walk with @varley and lunch with @dudley_stephens Dressing up (something this momma doesn’t get to do very often!), hanging out with friends and playing mahjong with @ohmymahjong was the perfect evening. Everything was so thoughtful, lovely and delicious. A big thank you to @maryhelen_law @thebrokebrooke @ashleymscribi and @charlottedaresnider
Getting to just wander at a leisurely pace was heavenly. Shopping Nantucket favorites like @shopcartolina @alice_walk @peachtreekidsnantucket and @ericawilsonnantucket and enjoying morning walks on the beach and getting treats from some Nantucket favorites like @bornandbreadnantucket and @lemonpressnantucket We made sailor’s valentines with @ackhistory and charm necklaces with @its.fornow and ended the trip with the prettiest of dinners with @tuckernuck Perfection.
