Hopefully by writing this post it helped in your healing. It’s beautifully written and even though you aren’t sharing details of the issue your words really describe well your pain and frustration. So it must be a doozy!
I’m not a religious person but there is a saying I often go to when things go awry “We plan, God laughs”. It appears to apply here. However there is also one more saying I go to even more when times are so effin’ frustrating, sad or tough and that is “this too shall pass”. And it will.
Best of luck with whatever you do in the future with your life, whether it be sharing it here or taking another path.

It makes us stronger, and kinder, and to love deeper, but also can leave us changed forever! You have a gift, that people are so drawn to! I wish my words could take away all those icky feelings but they can’t. I’m so sorry its been a stupid year. I’ve recently had a couple crazy years opening a retail store just after my step dad was killed by my brother. It was a year of much loss and I lost our oldest son but I can say with much strength given from God I got through. Learned to let go better. To love deeper and ultimately the struggle has made me a different kinder person with the desire to be more soft and forgiving of life. I think you’re a wonderful beautiful person. Hang in there and know much love comes your way.

Don’t give up on your dream! It might look differently than what you imagined but I can assure you that you are talented, inspirational and you have something to offer this world that is different and unique. Life is hard, not always perfect, and there are many many moments that don’t make the highlight reel, but that’s what’s different about your space, I feel like it comes from an honest place . Social media is generally a negative, nasty space….but your little corner is a bright spot. Praying you find your way, and come out on the other side of whatever this is filled renewed hope and strength.

I feel like there are so many moms who are feeling the same way lately. I, myself, am just emerging from a “funk” I could not shake. Is it the world today? Is it the season of the year? Or maybe just this season of life. My kiddos are older – middle and high school but I feel you. And I promise it will pass. Your baby leaving for kindergarten is so hard, but some time to be yourself is also invaluable. Lots of love to you and yours. And remember, what’s meant to be will be. And if it isn’t that particular one wasn’t meant for you. And by not getting what you wanted, it clears the way for something that is meant to be yours.

Jackie! I could have literally written this post. After four years of homeschooling, my oldest is off to college (a thrilling heartbreak like no other) and youngest started high school at a private school, so I thought I was set with the dream I had put “out there.” Then it all came crashing down for whatever reason…still don’t understand. But now I’m left with no kids at home and wondering who I am, should I get a job, push through and pursue my dream, etc…JUST LIKE YOU. I tell you all that just to say I get it…I even feel it…and it sucks. But also, God is growing us and drawing us near to Him and asking us to trust Him through it all. It’s so hard though. Just know I had a summer almost exactly like yours so you’re not alone and I’m here if you ever want to talk or pray together.
