Patio Party Table

With 4th of July around the corner and no travel plans in sight, we’ll be right here at home, BBQing and enjoying our new outdoor set which, with some pretty table settings, sure turns into the perfect patio party table. Captured beautifully by Ruth Eileen Photography right before a summer thunderstorm.

PATIO SET

A few weeks ago I showed you all some of my favorite patio sets but wasn’t sold on any yet. Sometimes I just need to ponder a bit before a “big” purchase. Having bought one patio set in my life, this isn’t an area I feel very confident in.

Just like any furniture purchase, there’s a spectrum of prices and I just wasn’t sure what I wanted to spend on this. So I dragged my feet and almost missed out. But we needed a table so I finally sucked it up and bought the more traditional set and couldn’t be more pleased. It is solidly built, has a beautiful finish and makes us feel like we are indeed grown ups. Add these beautiful Anais outdoor pillows and neutral outdoor rug and it’s a patio right out of my dreams.

I bought the pieces individually over Memorial Day because the complete set was already backordered and it now seems that every bit of this set is sold out at the moment. I will say it’s worth ordering if you can find it or waiting to because it’s that beautiful. The seats are wide and comfortable. We couldn’t be more pleased. I’m still waiting for a matching loveseat to come for the patio.

The blue stripe rectangular umbrella was from Target. It was sold out online by the time I committed to it in my mind but I had seen it at our local store. By the time I wanted to go get it however, even the floor model had been sold. We drove to a neighboring town’s Target to pick it up. Isn’t it irritating that by the time you want to be purchasing these items for your yard they’re sold out everywhere? I’m going to see if I can find some similar ones and tag them below.

4TH OF JULY TABLESCAPE

For this 4th of July table I went flower-free and made white cardstock pinwheels in different sizes, glued them to skewers and stuck them in a vase filled with gravel. Easy, affordable and the perfect summer centerpiece. I found these adorable pale blue plates (sold out but similar here) and layered them on white dinner plates I already had. My basket cups pair beautifully with a natural fiber runner (which I cut a hole in for the umbrella pole to fit through, bonus: it doesn’t blow away now) and stripe placemats. I love playing with texture even outside.

The balancing color for our outdoor set and 4th of July Table is this lovely chambray blue color. Don’t be afraid to mix napkins too. I rarely have enough of any one kind but you add more character to a table when you mix different kinds–in this case blue chambray napkins with a block print (here’s a similar one, mine were from Serena and Lily).

This sweet simple table is festive and fun while being easy to pull together and the perfect place to enjoy summer.

Cheers to summer with this patio party table and happy 4th of July!
