Mother’s Day–A Sweet Gift Guide

My first Mother’s Day ever Cade was 9 weeks old and we dressed up, packed him, the stroller (and the entire nursery) and drove downtown. We had breakfast at Flour Bakery in Boston’s South End because their cinnamon rolls are insane and I dream of them at night. We strolled the charming streets to the Public Garden, stopping at every tulip display to take pictures, listen to musicians lining the bridge over the lagoon, and take that token picture of Cade with the golden ducklings statue. Eventually we wound through Beacon Hill and got lunch. Cade slept as we strolled and it was magical. After years of infertility and medical complications, it brought tremendous joy to my heart. Celebrating Mother’s Day looks different for everyone. I am quite taken by macaroni necklaces and the hand drawn cards these days. But if you’re wanting to get the momma in your life a far less cool gift, I’ve rounded up some favorites on this Mother’s Day–a sweet gift guide.
