[…] Copenhagen!! Part 1 of exploring lovely Denmark! We’ve been waiting all summer for Aubrey and Cade’s passports to come in the mail, even expedited, they took awhile. We had hoped to thoughtfully plan a European trip but didn’t know if it was going to work. So we didn’t give it tremendous thought until August snuck up on us and the passports finally came. The end of August looked busy with Matt’s job. There was only one week where it looked like it may work to travel abroad. The problem was the turnaround time to plan / book a trip was ridiculous, even for us (see our trip to Portugal here).
[…] After the holidays I worked hard on our new gallery wall over the couch. We had one originally with pretty brass frames, they were smaller in size and 12 total but had taken them down once the remodel finished up. It always bothered me that the frames weren’t all the same, some slightly larger than others since they were handmade brass frames. They were beautiful but in a grouping, the size discrepancies were noticeable. But I was missing our travel pictures. This time I went with frames that were a little sleeker and larger in size. We went with 16x20s, 6 total in slim black metal frames. I love the freshness it adds. And we even got to add a travel picture from our recent trip to Portugal. […]

Wow! Just wow. Everyone wants to be so spontaneous but you actually did it. And to find someone else who loves Phil! I just love that show and the Lisbon episode was a particular favorite. So glad that you had an incredible time. And you'll never regret doing this.
